I&#039;m old enough to have grown up with &quot;transgendered&quot;, and most of my experience of this drama has been watching teenagers on tumblr attack older trans folks for having the &quot;wrong&quot; self-identification about their gender, which I feel is an experience most trans folks were already pretty adequately supplied with.

It&#039;s been really frustrating watching GLAAD (and transstudent.org) put out infographics about this, which well-meaning people repost and signal-boost without ever once stopping to ask whether the claims make any sense.
