Andrew Cuomo: a poetic valedictory for his last day in office (8.23.21)

I do not like you, Andrew Cuomo

I’d rather vote for a big old homo

I would not meet you on a lark

I would not meet you in the dark

I do not think you are a fox

I’d rather see you in a box

I would not want you in my house

Or have your hand slipped under my blouse

I would not drive you in a car

I would not meet you in a bar

I would not let you greet my guests

I would not let you grope my breasts

I’d rather trade you for a goat

Or throw you off a little boat

I know some thought you were a brain

But women thought you were a pain

I would not let you touch my hair

I would not want you anywhere

I do not like you Randy Andy

I think you’re worse than Hurricane Sandy

Pauline Park is not really a poet but is a writer and an activist who lives in Queens; this is a poetic valedictory for Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s last day in office by way of homage to Dr. Seuss.
